Roxbury NJ Community Information
Roxbury Township is located in Morris County New Jersey 50 miles west of New York City. Established in 1740, Roxbury is made up of six communities including Berkshire Valley, Kenvil, Landing, Ledgewood, Port Morris and Succasunna. Roxbury Township, New Jersey has a rich heritage for being the center of iron mining industry. Having a total population of 23,883 people (based from 2000 census).
In 1890, because of its construction of railroads in the town area, Roxbury slowly became the medium of transportation of people who wanted to visit the busy resorts of Lake Hopatcong, making it one of the most popular summer destinations for over six decades now. While the next generation brought a timely introduction for the creation of more modern means of transportation, homes and businesses, Roxbury township never forgets to organize their innovations according to its importance in the community.
Roxbury NJ Shopping & Recreation
Berkshire Valley Park - is a neighborhood playground, which also offers two tennis courts and a baseball field.

Dell Avenue Park - offers a fenced-in playground area geared toward younger children, and includes picnic tables. It also contains basketball courts and baseball fields. Location: 56 N. Dell Avenue, Kenvil
Emmans Park - contains three baseball fields, two soccer fields and a dog park. Location: 75 Emmans Road, Ledgewood
Horseshoe Lake Recreation Complex - is a beautiful site which offers an Imagination Station playground, picnic areas, a lake with designated swimming area, fishing, lighted basketball courts, two volleyball courts, four softball/baseball fields, and soccer fields. The park also features a ½ mile walking path, and a 1.7 mile paved bikeway/walking/running path. A 40’x80’ pavilion is available for large group gatherings, along with a covered stage area. The Veteran’s Memorial Park is located within the park. Special events are held in the park year-round.

Kiwanis Park - offers a playground, lighted baseball fields, a soccer field, and three lighted tennis courts.
Location: 9 Makin Lane, Succasunna.
Ledgewood Park/Morris Canal Park - together are comprised of over 250 acres of forest land, offering a fishing pond and hiking trails. Remnants of Morris Canal are currently being restored. Location: Emmans Road, Ledgewood
Midland Park - offers a small pond surrounded by a natural area with a wooded path. Location: 9 Midland Road, Succasunna
Mooney Mountain Park/Conkling Pond - is a neighborhood park containing a playground area and a paved basketball court. Conkling Pond is a perfect spot to fish. Location: Intersection of Conkling Road and Kennedy Drive on Mooney Mountain in Flanders
Nalron Park - contains one baseball field.

Port Morris Park - offers a playground area, a basketball court, and a baseball field. Location: 23 Washington Street, Landing
Shore Hills Park - is a neighborhood park area with a playground.
Location: 83 Vale Road, Landing
Righter Road Fields (Succasunna Fields) - contains two baseball fields.
Location: 175 Righter Road, Succasunna
Veteran’s Park - offers 240 acres of wooded land containing hiking trails, which offer scenic views of the Succasunna Valley. Location: 45 Patricia Drive, Flanders
Vickery Community Gardens - is farmland that has been converted into a community garden. More information is available at www.roxburyec.org. Location: 281 Eyland Avenue, Succasunna
