Chatham was named One of the Top Ten Places to Live in the United States by “Money Magazine" in 2005. Located 25 miles west of New York City on the eastern edge of Morris County. Chatham's neighboring communities are Chatham Township, Summit, New Providence, Berkeley Heights, Long Hill, Harding, Madison, Florham Park, Millburn and Livingston. Chatham Borough and Chatham Township share a common heritage and both are often referred to by their shared name, Chatham.

Pool memberships to the Chatham Borough Municipal Pool are available to Chatham Borough residents. Badges are sold at the pool during open pool hours. Residents can purchase a badge by bringing their current drivers license and a current electric or gas utility bill to the pool. The pool is open weekends beginning Memorial Day weekend and closes on Labor Day
Tennis Memberships are available to Chatham Borough Residents. Residents can purchase a tennis badge and key to the courts by bringing their current drivers license and a current electric or gas utility bill, weekdays, to the Chatham Borough Municipal Building Main Office. Badge sales begin late March/early April. Professional Tennis Lessons are available in the spring, summer and fall to tennis members.
